hello folks

seems like i forgot two wwr again. getting old. or lazy ? who knows.

well, since the backdrop is up on a large part of the layout it is time to do some landscaping. or geo engineering as it is called nowadays. using styrofoam as a base. then cutting it into the desired shape. quite a messy task. not sure who works harder. me or my vacuum cleaner.

the section i'm working on has a few tunnels, some rock walls (chooch enterprise. unfortunately out of business). before installing the tunnel portals i had to spread some ballast because once the tunnel is done it is no longer accessible for ballasting. once everything dried i will cover the styrofoam with the usual water/sawdust/white glue paste. but i guess it will take a while until then.

here are some first impressions.
