While most of KPR's mileage was on CN track, they had running rights on CP between Kamloops and Campbell Creek. After that they were on CN tracks to Armstrong. Then back on CP tracks (Okanagan Valley Railway folded some years ago) to Vernon. Vernon to Kelowna and out to Lumby on CN.
Presently they're fixing track that has been in a terrible state, they won't service the Kelowna leg - 33 miles of really rotten track - but the rest gets upgraded to 25mph.
I plan on being there along the line when the first train rolls in November.
BTW on the ex-OVR (CP) line to Sicamous, CP would like to abandon the line, but the towns along that stretch protest loudly about it being a rail corridor.
