how can a train cause a fire ? sparks from brakes ?

Could be sparks from the exhaust, carbon particules in fire ejected from the pipes...

Hydraulic oil and heat from the exhaust, not a good mix !

Heat from deffective brakes...

Cigarette trown by the engineer !!
