This is a particularly nice circuit for DCC control since the current drawn is very small.

Please check out the modern bi-polar instant charge capacitor discharge circuit. It has ZERO
time delay, requires only a small capacitor. a SPST ordinary toggle , and there is no complicated electronics involved. The SPST would be replaced with a stationary decoder for DCC use.

The circuit is fully described in the May issue of Mainline Modeler with a follow-up article
which has even more details in the current issue (June).

Here is the basic circuit for operating Kato turnouts, and a version with LED indicators.


Here is one Twin-Coil machine circuit with and without LRD indicator.

There is also a circuit (not shown)without the diodes as well.
