The weather stinks i.e. forget about railfanning! Time to get cracking on portals.

I'm using 2" styrofoam (pink or blue), the tunnel openings and some of the stone outlines I cut on the laser machine. The mortar lines are done with the soldering iron. Coat with special tiling cement and BINGO.

working on large scale model railroad has some advantages... looks good !

do you expect some shrinking in the harsh sunlight ?
