For any N scalers out there, here are pictures of my home layout.

I know, it took years before I did post any, but it was worth the waiting...
And I had to finish my old cars projects first!
Now that it is winter, time to figure photobucket and post pictures...

1 DOWNTOWN
Picture of rare CN NW2 shunting asside another CN engine, a SD50F custom builted from a Kaslo shell kit.
The parking is serving my Eaton's store, which was a canadian SEARS up until early 2000.

2 DOWNTOWN again, on the other side of the train bridge.
This bridge brings in passenger train to Central Station.
A small park area, convenient stores and on the right, a small lumber shop.

3 MOUNTAIN
CP trains meet in the mountains, but at a different level.
Over 3000 handmade trees on a 15 scare feet scene.

4 MOUNTAIN
This is the other side of the mountains...
There are 2 main tunnels here.

5 MOUNTAIN'S BRIDGES
A CN train entering the tunnel we have just saw previously.
This is the section were you get to the mines...
Lots of shunting to be done there and GREAT scenery to enjoy!

6 CENTRAL STATION
Lots of people coming in and out of the train station.
A bit like it was in Montréal in the late 50's, the station is over the main level.
Trains get to the station by a bridge over the city.

7 TURNTABLE & ROUNDHOUSE
This is the oldest section of the layout with my older CN paint scheme roster...
Some steam engines, plenty of action!

8 YARD & GRAIN SILOS
Like any big city, here are the jumbo grain silos.
The yard is 11 tracks wide and its main purpose is to park my trains.
Everything here has been custom builted, except for the Walthers grain silo kit on which I have added some détails.
The dust collectors in red asside my big silos are in fact compressed air tanks used for air pistols...

9 BLAST FURNACE & SCRAP YARD
This is the latest addition to my layout.
My technique of weathering has improved over the years and it shows here.
It is a very fun section as there is plenty of operations to do with DCC trains here!

10 MOUNTAINS
Another picture of my mountains.
In fact, a better view of how it was made.
I used real rocks that were very thin and glueded them on foam.
I then filled in the cracks with Woodland scenics products.
Trees were then added over the surrounding nature...

Hello again everyone !

It has been a while since I have done ANYTHING related to trains...

I haven't work on my layout at all for over a year now.

We have done some major housework and improvement around the house.
A crazy year, the least we could say...

I did ad some better lighting around the layout...
It is a good thing as we now can see a lot more détails.

Hopefully, I will find the time to work again on my N scale world soon...
