unfortunately the new wall pieces are not yet here. bummer. had hoped to install them.
instead i serviced a few engines. cleaning wheels, removing dust, replacing parts as needed.
then i finally cleaned up the area of the upcoming city. used this part of the layout to store whatever i had to store. incredible what i found in this mess i also installed the plywood base for the area where the top 1% will have their villas. as usual i ran out of stuff. buildings this time. i will need quite a few more city buildings, shops, buildings, fuel station and such.
yesterday markus showed up and we spent some time working on our own project. he detailed and decaled a few tiny cars for dmir. at least that's what i think i remember he said . getting old ...
i had the idea to quickly do one of the two former union pacific sd90mac which are now owned by cp rail and just received a few patches.
here's the first one, #3649. removed some of the original lettering, printed and applied a few new decals. then some heavy weathering. now the unit needs to have the windows installed, cleaning of the wheels before final assembly. once done it will receive its programming.
