been running a few trains and spent some time thinking about the rural area i started building. as mentioned earlier there will be a few large houses of rich people. unfortunately it is not easy to find contemporary north american buildings or kits. i did order a few from etsy in the past. printing quality is not on par with shapeways but the houses should do the job. therefore i ordered some more. while waiting for the buildings to arrive i repainted the 4 i already had. then i started painting the window and door frames. it is not as easy as it seems. because of the way the buildings are 3d printed they tend to suck paint in spaces you don't want.
the two finished buildings need some touch ups. but here's a first glimpse.
