In the beginning of my „model railroad kit bashing“ days, I stumbled over a picture of a Wisconsin Central GP40 which was constructed out of parts of virtually every railroad existed during that time (at least BN, SBD/CSX/ and WC).

That would be a great kit bashing project, but I set it aside back then, because I thought, it would be too complicated for me to build this locomotive. Some weeks ago, I stumbled again over this picture, but this time the decision was made to build not only the WC #3008 but as well both variants of the WC 3018 (renumbered 3008). So I ordered 3 undecorated GP40 shells from Atlas and start my project. And here is the result.

A real “Franken Geep”!!
