all renumbered cars received micro-trains trucks, rapido steel-wheels and haybros loads (at least the coal gondolas). some light weathering on the hoppers, heavier coal dust on the coal cars.

next i installed front/headlights in a resin r/v. had to mill out the body in order to make room for the wiring . turned out pretty nice.

a ford f250 received driver/co-driver, turn lights, front/head lights. was interesting. co-driver side rear light flashes together with a turn light in front of the car. both front lights and the left read lights can be turned on. i used 0603 led for the front lights, 0402 for the rear lights, 0401 for the front turn light.

i had more time on hand to work on the yard. reinstalling servos for the turnouts. some of the ultra-cheap chinese servos had issues with the plastic gears. so i replaced the with other servos featuring metal gears. i also installed some tam-valley quad servo decoders along with the matching relay daughter board. this is used to power the frogs. some minor issues with polary but so far 9 of 16 turnouts work smooth and without causing shorts. 7 more on this part of the layout.

stay tuned !
