tracks along the workbench done ! also the backdrop has been installed. on the far right there's a short piece of track which serves as programming track. jmri thru digitrax interface. works perfect.
the two "main" tracks will be used to store engines and other rolling stock which needs services, testrunning engines, speedmatching engines and such.

workbench with the tracks behind. less than 4"/10cm deep.

backdrop really adds a lot of depth.

installing a few shallow trees in front of the backdrop enhances the 3d look even more.

someone needs to remove this graffiti...

foreign power. needs some tweaking of the settings.

today i test-fitted the new backdrop for the long western uphill section of the two mainlines. installing a 2.5x21ft piece of paper is just a pain.

needs some adjustments before it can be glued in place. but i'm happy the way it looks.
