finally found time to work on my layout. adding some styrofoam to the plywood base to form the future mountains

there will be a few tunnel entries. incredible how much time it takes to build the landscape around the portals ! on this part of the layout there will be 8 tunnels. one portal is in, 7 more to go.

playing around with chooch enterprises flexible rock walls. have to paint and cut them though. unfortunately i don't have enough to finish the scenery. ordering new rock walls is almost impossible since the manufacturer went out of business 2 or 3 years ago. need to search allover the world for a few more pieces.

once the glue dried completely i will carve the styrofoam into the final shape before my usual sawdust/water/glue mix will be used to form the base for the meadows and trees.

stay tuned ! there will be progress very soon.
