work continued on the fire lookout tower. first i used ca to built the kit but later discovered that some of the joints didn't hold. so i decided to use solder instead. took quite some time to solder everything together. would have been a lot easier during building... oh well. another lesson learned. after some sanding and some very light sandblasting i used an airbrush to paint the tower with polly scale aluminium. transparent styrene will be used for the windows. also the rooftop needs to be painted. not sure yet if i will add an antenna and a marker light. i will also dig thru all the n-scale figures to find one which looks like climbing the stairs of the tower.
