a few weeks since the last wwr. well, been on holidays and therefore no time for the little trains. but finally back and a lot of new ideas in my mind.
yesterday i spent several hours working on markus' layout. we had to rework parts of the modules to make landscaping easier. while running trains we discovered some kinks in the trackwork and started tweaking it. it is quite impressive how easy even compley yards can be built with kato unitrack. power routing and such works great. trnouts work great right out of the box. on the other side i don't like how the track sections connect together. to much up and down movement. this caused most of the derailments. other than that the track is really silent even if mounted directly onto plywood.
but i will stick with peco on my current and most likely any future layout. :-)
