hello all

finally found some time to work on the layout again. my rapido trains canadian runs fine now. 20 laps around the layout with no issues. doesn't sound like much but this actually means more than 2 hours running ! total distances traveled approx 1200m/3950ft. equals to 192km/120miles in 1:1.

beside that i started work on a new railway station kit. 3rd one now.... the first went south after removing from my old layout. i was able to fix it but there were too many glued places which i was not able to weather away. ok, bought another kit. started painted it before assembly. forgot about the kit for a few months. guess what. lots of part lost. bummer. at least i was able to find another kit. (they're out of production for more than a decade).
assembled the main buildings, painted the walls brown, then all window frames, door became white. looks nice. now i neet to do the final assembly, add interior details, lights, figures and such.
stay tuned ! pictures coming soon.

while building i also ran my 80car coal train. a few laps around the layout. 3 engines in front, 55 cars, 2 more engines, 25 more cars. smooth as silk. you might think 5 engines for 80 cars is overpowered but there's a long 2.2% grade. with realistic speeds going up and down it takes more than 8 minutes to complete a lap.
