we're already in the second week of 2020. time really flies. not while at work but while working on the layout.
i managed to install the fascia overhead the setup-yard. temporary setup as i still need to paint the whole thing. also a few adjustments need to be done prior to final mounting.
setup yard = the place where i take rolling stock out of boxes and build trains manually.
i also figured out i need a second route for main 2 to enter the main yard from the north-east side. so here it is. we're talking about the second track from top. main line continues and the crossover diverts to the left.
some slight curves will lead this section of track thru a short tunnel.
where it finally joins the yard entry.
last thing done was pouring the concrete base for the industry at the entry of the yard. unfortunately the very liquid concrete found a few spots to leak to the floor. will most likely need to pour a second coat in some places.
