been away for a few days. tortured my old bones up in the mountains with some skiing. weather and snow ok, not too cold. no broken bones.
received some electrical stuff on thursday. fuses, wire and a new power supply which will power quite a few led bulbs. the power supply delivers 50 amps at 12 volts dc ! a real powerhouse ! i will split the power into 5-6 districts , each with its own fuse and dimmer.
did two wire loops along the setup yard. two districts, two dimmers. one loop hooked up to warm white leds while the other feeds cold white leds. by using the two dimmers i can now control intensity and temperature of the light (cold or warm white).
then today i rewired the winter area of my layout. it had its own power supply so far and is now powered thru the same hefty thing. as usual, i ran out of parts.... need a few more heat sinks and copper strips before i can continue lighting along the inclines leading to the upper level.
if i'm not too lazy i will shoot a few pics later today. but don't take that as a promise
