work continued on the 6 redbarns. 3 of them just have cp action red over light gray primer. all holes drilled. 2 others have most of the detail parts installed : horn, lift rings, grab irons. both are missing the details on the pilots. a third unit is almost ready for decaling. rear pilot done :
front pilot still missing handrails. at least the led for the ditchlights are already in place.
once the handrails are installed i will add all the necessary decals. then light weathering before i will install all the windows. unfortunately these units have no working numberboards. i might figure out a way to make them working. we'll see.
these sd40-2f shells were printed by david bedard. really nice shells. unfortunately no etchings or windows included. but thankfully i have quite a few kaslo sd40-2f kits left. these kits provide most of the needed parts. not sure yet if the windows will fit though.
today i also spent some time working on the yard. approximately another 75ft of track have been ballasted. sorry for not taking pictures once the glue is dry i will clean the track and put some trains in a few of the yard tracks. so stay tuned for next weeks post !
